Thanks for spreading the word and hyping the cause. Rescue, especially of older pets, is definitely the way to go. Some folks resist the idea because they worry about inheriting an animal with "issues" -- but (I believe) all domesticated animals are hardwired to give and receive love, and with proper patience, time, and understanding, any behavioral problems can be worked through.
